What would Farrah Mackenzie have liked to see for Alice on Utopia Season 2?

Oh, what could have been. That’s all we’re thinking when it comes to Utopia Season 2, which sadly, isn’t happening.

One of the characters that had the potential of a lot of growth was Farrah Mackenzie’s Alice. The young orphan is now going to be left on the run with Ian, brewing up a plan to save Grant, Becky, and the others from Harvest.

Mackenzie chatted to Amazon Adviser about the role and what she would have loved to see for Alice on Utopia Season 2. It makes us wish all the more that Amazon had made another decision.

Where Utopia left our group of heroes

For those who can’t remember, the group had been split up at the end of Utopia. Jessica Hyde had returned “home,” while Wilson joined with Dr. Kevin Christie. They picked up Becky on the way, and we’re left wondering what that betrayal means.

Meanwhile, Grant was arrested, with Ian wanting to do something to save the kid and Becky from the police. However, Alice knew that if they were caught too, there was nobody around to save Grant. What would Alice do?

“I’d love to see Alice form the group back together, and get back to saving humanity,” Farrah Mackenzie told us when asked what she’d like to see for Alice on Utopia Season 2. Out of all the characters on the show, Alice would likely be the one to do that.

There was also a lot of room for growth for this young girl, “I could see her growing more, knowing that she is basically on her own now—with Ian, of course—I could see her growing to be more of that strong character [we’ve come to see].”

What Farrah Mackenzie loved about playing Alice

While the second season isn’t happening, there are a lot of good things to come from playing the role. Mackenzie told us that she loved playing a character that is completely unlike her. She got to do things that a normal girl wouldn’t do.

“I loved playing a tough cookie. I like to think I’m pretty tough, but Alice is much tougher. If I was in those situations, I would do a lot to stand up for my friends and save my friends and my family, but I wouldn’t kill someone. I loved playing someone who would.”

What’s to come next for Farrah Mackenzie

The life of an actress is full of auditions, and that’s exactly what our young Utopia star is back doing now. Of course, with the pandemic, things are only just starting to get to some normality, and it’s going to take time to get back to how things were.

So, what’s Farrah doing now?

“I have been writing a lot. Not professionally or anything serious, but for fun. I find it calming,” she told us, which is something I can certainly relate to.

There are a few dream roles she has in mind. One of those is to star in a horror movie, and we’re sure she’ll give Sarah Paulson a run for her money one day.
