What is The War With Grandpa about?

As the title of the movie suggests, this is a film about a grandpa and his grandson. Peter loves his Grandpa, who is on his way to live with the family. Peter loves that idea until he learns his Grandpa is going to take over Peter’s room, and Peter will need to move to the “scary” attic.

Naturally, Peter wants his room back. The best way to gain that is through a prank war with his Grandpa. If only his Grandpa didn’t also have a mischievous personality.

This means war.

Is The War With Grandpa worth it?

This is one of those movies where you probably don’t want to pay attention to the critics. Comedies always get a bad rep, and comedies during the pandemic seemed to suffer more than normal. Critics on Rotten Tomatoes slated The War With Grandpa, giving it a 29% approval score.

Yet audiences loved it. This is one for the whole family, with the audience score sitting at 85%.

Who are you going to trust when it comes to this movie? I’d go with the audience score. Although personally, I’d just give the movie a chance myself if I hadn’t already seen it.
