When will Freaky come to DVD and Blu-ray?
When can you get Freaky on DVD and Blu-ray?
Freaky has been the big theatrical release of the weekend. Starring Kathryn Newton and Vince Vaughn, it’s the horror-comedy you didn’t think you needed. And now you want to know when Freaky will come to DVD and Blu-ray.
With the movie only just coming out in movie theaters, there isn’t a set release date just yet. We’ll be sure to update this when there is a release date.

Until then, all we can do is guestimate a date. We’ll look at other Universal Pictures movies to get an idea, and for this we’re looking at The Invisible Man and Fantasy Island. They’re both also Blumhouse Productions movies.
Both of the movies were released just before the coronavirus pandemic shut everything down. While the plans for VOD changed slightly, the release dates on DVD didn’t. Both movies took three months to go from theaters to DVD and Blu-ray.
It will take about three months for the Freaky DVD release date
We can expect about the same amount of time for the Kathryn Newton-led horror-comedy to come to DVD and Blu-ray. With the release only happening this weekend, we’re looking at around February 2021. Most releases are around the three-month mark exactly, so we could see the release date set as Feb. 9 or Feb. 16.
What about Digital? This is usually a week or two before the DVD release, but things have been working differently recently. Due to the closure of some movie theaters, the Digital releases have been timed with the DVD releases. We could see the same thing happening here.
What is Freaky about?
As the title suggests, this is a take on Freaky Friday. However, instead of a mother-daughter switch, the movie sees 17-year-old Millie switch bodies with her serial killer attacker, The Butcher.
Millie has 24 hours to get her own body back. Otherwise, she could become this middle-aged serial killer for the rest of her life. The serial killer, meanwhile, could use her body to commit crimes.
It’s a fun movie with Vaughn getting a lot of praise as he explores his feminine side in the movie.
