The latest John Grisham novel moved up the list of most read Amazon books last week

The last week of October saw some movement on the list of most read Amazon books once more. The latest John Grisham book moved up, while the Nicholas Sparks novel dropped off the list.

Between Oct. 25 and Oct. 31, John Grisham’s A Time for Mercy gained five places. It didn’t just land in the Top 5, but it gained the No. 1 spot. The three Harry Potter books had only just moved back into the Top 3 and were knocked down a place each once again.

It meant Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer lost another place. Ken Follett’s novel The Evening and the Morning also lost a place, dropping out of the Top 5.

Grisham’s book wasn’t the only book to gain well on the list. Brandon Sanderson’s novel Oathbringer gained four places to finally get back into the Top 15. The Way of Kings also re-entered the list, knocking Nicholas Sparks’s novel, The Return, off the list.

The biggest mover was Battle Ground by Jim Butcher. It lost another six places to drop into 18th place on the list. It will likely be a book that drops off the list completely this week.

Meanwhile, Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens held onto 15th place and American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins held 19th place, while The Guest List by Lucy Foley and The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett switched places on the list.

It was certainly an interesting final week of October.
