Most sold Amazon books from Oct. 11 to Oct. 17

The list of most sold Amazon books saw some big changes last week. Seven new books made it to the list, along with a few reentries, disrupting the placement of everything. It’s time to breakdown the list from Oct. 11 to 17.

The Return by Nicholas Sparks, which claimed first place last week, lost two places this week. Two new books took up the top spots, The Searcher by Tana French and Leave the World Behind by Rumaan Alam.

They weren’t the only disruption in the Top 5, with Elin Hilderbrand’s Troubles in Paradise entering this week in fifth place. The Testaments by Margaret Atwood reentered the list, jumping into fourth place. As we get closer to The Handmaid’s Tale potentially filming Season 4, the book may remain on the list for some time.

While a couple of books from last week were in the Top 10, there was also two other new books and a reentry. Rick Riordan’s The Tower of Nero and Will Wight’s Wintersteel entered the list well, while The Boy from the Woods by Harlan Coben reentered in 10th place.

With all the new entries, there were many books pushed down the list. Battle Ground by Jim Butcher and Dog Man: Grime and Punishment by Dav Pilkey saw the bigger movement, losing 11 places each. Anxious People by Fredrik Backman wasn’t far behind, losing 10 places on the list.

After claiming the top spot for so long, Where the Crawdads Sing has been slowly losing places. Last week saw a big drop, with the Delia Owens novel losing six places and dropping into 17th place. Is the run over?
