Trying to find Halloween movies for the whole family has been much easier over the years. But you don’t always want reruns. You want fresh movies, which is what you get with Happy Halloween, Scooby-Doo!
The new Scooby-Doo! movie features all your favorite Mystery Inc members. Unlike the recent movie that offered an origin story for Scooby and Shaggy, all the usual suspects are voicing the characters, including Frank Welker as Fred/Scooby, Matthew Lillard as Shaggy, Grey Griffin as Daphne, and Kate Micucci as Velma.

On top of that, there are some great guest stars. Bill Nye the Science Guy and Elvira, Mistress of the Dark will join the teen sleuths in a case that involves toxic pumpkins.
What Happy Halloween, Scooby-Doo! is about
The movie sees the gang out at Halloween. It’s Shaggy and Scooby’s favorite holiday thanks to all the candy, but things are about to get a little creepy for them. When a pumpkin patch is infected with toxic ooze, the vegetables (or are they fruits?) become killer pumpkins, squishing everyone who gets in their way.
It’s up to the Scooby Gang to figure out what’s caused the toxic ooze. How can they put the pumpkin patch back to normal? Can they save Crystal Cove?
This is a fun movie. We got a review copy thanks to our friends at Warner Bros. and the kids have already watched it a dozen times. Scooby is a firm favorite in this house. I always think if the people the movie has been made for enjoy it, then it’s a good movie.
For the adults who grew up watching Mystery Inc. at work, this brings all your favorite elements of the movies and the series together. Plus, the guest stars really add surprises and excitement to the story. They’re not just for fan-service, but to offer help when the Gang needs it.
