5 good Amazon movies to watch this weekend: Sept. 19-20

Gemini Man is just one of the good Amazon movies to check out this weekend

It’s a relatively quiet weekend on Amazon Prime Video and Amazon Channels, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to watch. There are some great Amazon movies to check out this weekend.

Three of the movies on the list are available with Prime Video. They made it to the streaming service throughout the week. The other two movies are on a couple of Amazon Channels offerings.

Here are the five Amazon movies to watch from Sept. 19 to 20.

Gemini Man

We start with the 2019 movie Gemini Man. It’s an interesting one that sees Will Smith star opposite himself, but this time a younger version of himself through CGI. The man is a clone, proving that as a younger version of a great assassin, he is the better one of the two. However, the aging assassin needs to prove his worth.

The movie didn’t receive great reviews from critics, but audiences loved it. It’s certainly something to watch for the graphics.

Gemini Man is on Amazon Prime Video now.

Blackbird

We next turn to a movie that is filled with heart and is set to raise questions. Blackbird stars Susan Sarandon as a terminally ill woman who is ready to die. Before she does that, she needs to get her family together one last time. Can they offer her dying wish? It’s certainly not going to be easy.

You can watch on Amazon Prime Video now.

All In: The Fight for Democracy

The third of the Amazon movies on Amazon Prime Video is an Amazon Original. All In: The Fight for Democracy is a documentary that is important to watch before the next Presidential Election.

Liz Garbus and Lisa Cortes look at the history of voter suppression. They take a look at the activists who have fought for U.S. citizen rights and the dangers of voter suppression in the future.

The Invisible Man

Now it’s time to turn to the Amazon Channels offerings. The Invisible Man is available on HBO as of today. The movie stars Elisabeth Moss as a woman who believes her abusive husband has died. However, it turns out he may be invisible, and now he gets the chance to torment her without anyone realizing.

You’ll need the HBO Amazon Channels to watch this movie this weekend.

The Witch

Finally, it’s all about another horror movie. The Witch is now available to stream on SHOWTIME after spending plenty of time on Netflix. It’s a psychological horror, set in the 17th century in a time of superstition and fear.

A family is shunned by the village and forced to live on the edges of a forest alone. That brings horror, heartbreak, and fear. You can watch with SHOWTIME through Amazon Channels now.
