What to expect on The Boys Season 2, Episode 5 on Amazon Prime Video tonight

We’re over the halfway mark on The Boys Season 2. Episode 5, titled “We Gotta Go Now,” could completely divert from the graphic novels.

The episode will be available to watch tonight. While the “official” time is midnight local on Friday, Sept. 18, there’s a big chance that the episode will drop earlier than that. Amazon Originals are released at midnight British time, which is at least five hours ahead of North America. That means, we’re looking at a release at around 7 p.m. ET or 4 p.m. PT.

Releases have been at around the earlier time up to this point. It’s certainly worth looking at the show at around this time tonight to see if the newer episode drops early.

The Boys Season 2, Episode 5 sees Homelander snap?

There’s a promo out for the episode. While at lot of the promo focuses on Butcher visiting his aunt (and that means we meet Terror the Dog properly), there is a moment with Victoria Neuman stepping on stage in front of a crowd of people.

Homelander has committed some sort of war crime. The people are angry by his actions. Of course, Homelander will have no remorse about the time, but he will be worried about his image. All these people against him when everyone loves Stormfront could lead to him snapping.

In fact, there a moment in the promo that shows Homelander wiping out the entire crowd with his laser eyes. This is definitely not in the graphic novels, and would definitely mean a major deviation to the plot. Is this a fake out or is this actually happening?
