The third installment in the Bill and Ted movies is coming at the end of the week. We can’t wait to watch it, but there are chances you need to watch the first two movies again (or maybe even for the first time!)

We didn’t think it would ever happen, but Keanue Reeves and Alex Winter are back together as the two best friends that were destined to save the world. Their music would bring Utopia, but they’d have to pass history to do that.

Even if you’ve watched them in the past, you’ll certainly want to watch them again. After all, the third movie continues the journey into forming a band and creating the song that is destined to save the world.

There’s some great news for those who have a particular Amazon Channel. You can watch Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure on STARZ for free. Only the first movie is available right now, but it at least gives you a starting point.

The second movie isn’t available anywhere to stream for free right now. That doesn’t mean it won’t be in the future.

If you don’t have STARZ, you can get it through Amazon Channels. Alternatively, you can buy both BIll and Ted’s Excellent Adventure and Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey on Amazon Video.

This is also where you’ll be able to get the third movie, Bill and Ted Face the Music. It will only be available to rent on Aug. 28. Eventually, it will be available to buy and on DVD and Blu-ray in the future.

What are the Bill and Ted movies about?

Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure is the first movie, focusing on the titular characters as they are on the verge of failing history. If they fail, Ted will be shipped off to military school. They can’t let that happen. If it does, Utopia won’t be possible in the future.

Rufus is sent to them to give them a time travel machine that looks like a phone booth. Can they learn enough by visiting history to pass?

In the second movie, Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey, the two are killed to prevent them bringing Utopia with their music. They end up meeting Death, who may be able to bring them back to life.

Bill and Ted Face the Music is the third installment, picking up decades later. They’ve failed to live up to their destinies so far, and now time is running out. A visitor from the future gives them a task to create one song that will save the world.
