The Very Hungry Caterpillar finally enters the list of most sold Amazon books

There are some books that are highly popular but have never made it to the list of most sold Amazon books. One book has finally made it despite being a household name for so long. Let’s take a look at the list from Aug. 16 to 22.

Who hasn’t heard of The Very Hungry Caterpillar? Eric Carle’s book is a great tale of adapting and growth. It looks at how caterpillars prepare for their transformation into beautiful butterflies. But they can be destructive.

More from Amazon Books

Children and parents have loved the book for years. It’s beautifully illustrated and entertaining to read. So, why is it only just on the list of most sold Amazon books? I don’t think we’ll ever find out the answer, but the mistake has been rectified.

It’s not the only new book on the list, either. Matthew Fitzsimmons’s The Short Drop entered the list towards the bottom, in 19th place.

It’s just ahead of Honeysuckle Season by Mary Ellen Taylor, which dropped seven places into 20th place. It’s the largest drop on the list.

However, the week isn’t made up of all negatives. In fact, many books gained places throughout the week. Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng was back up five places, and When We Believed in Mermaids by Barbara O’Neal was back up six places.

The largest gain on the list was The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides. It gained seven places to get back into the Top 10. If you haven’t read this book yet, you need to. Another book that is worth reading is The Guest List by Lucy Foley, which got into the Top 3 after gaining two places last week.
