Hanna Season 3 is officially happening on Amazon Prime Video

The short wait to find out if Hanna Season 3 would happen is over. Amazon Prime Video has confirmed the renewal.

The confirmation comes just more than a week after the arrival of the second season. In fact, like the announcement of the second season, the renewal has come 10 days after the release. It looks like Amazon was happy with the number of people binge-watching the series immediately.

Deadline reported the news of the renewal. However, what’s not clear is the number of episodes Hanna Season 3 will have. We can likely presume that it will be eight like both of the previous seasons.

What to expect on Hanna Season 3

Very little is known as the renewal has only just come through. However, that doesn’t mean writer and EP David Farr doesn’t know where he’s going with the series. The plan has always been to explore Hanna’s past more, looking at whether there’s anywhere she can truly belong.

The second season certainly gave us a look into that. Hanna feels lonely. She probably always has, growing up in the wilderness with just the man she views as her father. However, she finally found a place she could potentially gain friends only for her morals to prevent her from fully fitting in.

Hanna Season 2 did seem to end on a note of hope. She’s found someone she can trust in through Marissa. Now there’s a chance for her and Marissa to change Utrax and make it a better world. The question is whether Hanna will fit in with the other girls or if they’re going to blame her for changes to the system.

It sounds like both Esmé Creed-Miles and Mireille Enos are on board to return to the third season. We’ll probably also see Dermot Mulroney return considering the way John Carmichael’s story ended in the second season. With hope Áine Rose Daly and Gianna Kiehl will also return as Sandy and Jules.

Will we see Yasmin Monet Prince return as Clara? That’s something for the writers to figure out, but there is a potential storyline as she finds a place with her mother but probably can’t quite give up on her life with Hanna.
