The Tourist is on the list of five good Amazon movies this weekend

Another weekend is here, another weekend where you’re possibly stuck inside. For some, it’s because of lockdown, and for others its due to the weather. Well, these Amazon movies have you covered.

Over the last couple of weeks, there have been some fun movies added to the Amazon Prime Video catalog. You don’t want to miss out on them, whether you’re watching with kids or you’re looking for something on the grownup side.

Here are our top picks when it comes to Amazon movies to watch on Prime Video this weekend, July 11-12.

Spy Kids

We’ll start with something for the whole family. The first Spy Kids movie dropped on Amazon Prime Video at the end of June. It’s a must-watch. And you can follow on with the third movie, Game Over.

This is over the top and cheesy, but that’s the fun of it. The acting is terrible and the actors know that while doing it. It’s made specifically for the kids. Our family loves it!

The Tourist

More from Movies on Amazon

Sometimes you just need to watch a terrible movie. Terrible films can be good. That’s the case for one of the latest Amazon movies on the service, The Tourist.

Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie star as a fake couple. It all starts with Jolie’s character sitting next to Depp on a train and convincing him that he’s her boyfriend who is on the run from the cops. Yes, really!

Vivarium

This is one of those movies that critics love but audiences have hated. Well, it’s certainly a movie worth checking out to see why critics would like something that audiences don’t!

Jesse Eisenberg and Imogen Poots star as a couple looking for the perfect home. When they end up in a suburban area that is like a maze, they realize that they can’t escape. It doesn’t help that all houses look the same.

This is the newest of the Amazon movies on the list.

Anaconda

It’s time to head back to the 90s. Jennifer Lopez starred in Anaconda, which is now available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. It’s become a cult classic and is worth watching at least the once.

Ice Cube, Jon Voight, and Owen Wilson also star in the movie. They are a documentary film crew in the Amazon rainforest hunting down a legendary green anaconda. Well, they certainly find it.

Midnight in Paris

Finally, it’s time for a dramedy starring Owen Wilson and Rachel McAdams. Wilson plays Gil, an author who heads to Paris with his fiancée and her family for a vacation. He wants to finish his debut novel.

As he falls in love with the city, he heads off explaining away from his fiancée. Is there hope to bring the two back together or are they just not right for each other? If you love rom-coms, this certainly has a great element to it for you.
