Most sold Amazon books last week: The Vanishing Half claims the top spot
The Vanishing Half climbed higher on the list of most sold Amazon books
We’re into a new week, and that means looking back at the list of most sold Amazon books once more. From June 28 to July 4, there was plenty of movement across the entire list.
After debuting finally on the list of most read Amazon books, The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett climbed to the top of the list of most sold books. It took over from Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens, which was knocked back down to second place. The movement also meant 28 Summers by Elin Hildebrand dropped a place in its second week on the list.

One of the most notable movers was 1984 by George Orwell. After seeing a small dip in the previous week, the book climbed eight spots to land in the Top 5. It’s clear that people are keeping an eye on the current state of politics with the fictitious reading material chosen. By the way, if you haven’t read the George Orwell novel yet, it is a must-read.
The Guest List also moved up two spaces. However, that did mean both American Dirt and Little Fires Everywhere lost one place each.
Another notable mention is the reentry of Lisa Jewell’s Then She Was Gone. If you like thrillers, this is certainly a book worth picking up. For parents, The Bad Seed by Jory John reentered the list and is another must-read.
The biggest mover down was If Animals Kissed Good Night by Ann Whitford Paul, losing three places. It puts it at the bottom of the list and will likely exit the list this week. However, that doesn’t mean it will never reenter.
