Hanna Season 2 premiere recap: Introducing The Meadows
We get to see The Meadows in the Hanna Season 2 premiere
The Hanna Season 2 premiere wastes no time in catching us up on the events from the Season 1 finale and pushing forward with the new season. That’s probably a good thing with only eight episodes.
There are three main storylines happening, although there are hints of how they all converge. The first is Hanna and Clara out in the forest simply surviving; the second is at The Meadows, as the trainees start their next stage of conditioning; the third is seeing what Marissa is up to now.
We get some quick confirmations of what happened after the finale. Erik is definitely dead and Marissa is recovering from the gunshot she inflicted on herself. It’s clear that Dermot Mulroney’s new character, John Carmichael, doesn’t trust Marissa after the events of the past.
Hanna and Clara just try to survive
We see Hanna and Clara getting to know each other and just survive in the forest. Clara wants to learn more about Hanna, and it’s clear she’s frustrated with simply living.
However, Hanna just wants to keep Clara safe in the way Erik tried to keep Hanna safe. There’s a lot of mirroring of the first season in this part, with Clara being the one that Utrax is actually looking for.
Clara gets the urge to find her family when she sees a mother and daughter interact at a local cabin. She joins the family, where they search for Clara’s mother. Finding a photo of the mother and daughter that Clara had stolen, Hanna knows exactly where Clara has gone.
She needs to save Clara before it’s too late. Unsurprisingly, it’s too late.
