5 good movies on Amazon Prime Video to watch Fourth of July Weekend
Spend July 4 Weekend watching these five good Amazon movies
It’s set to be one of the quietest Fourth of July Weekends you’ll ever know. Many events have been canceled, and you may be looking for something to do. There are some great Amazon movies to watch this weekend.
There isn’t anything new coming to Amazon Prime Video this weekend. Hanna Season 2 dropped today, but that’s it. So, if you do want to watch the series, that will be available all weekend. But what about movies?
Sometimes, you only have the time or patience for a movie. And you want something that’s suitable for the children in some cases. That’s why we have this list of good movies to watch.
Megamind
When you’re looking for something for the kids, look no further than one of the July 1 drops. In fact, the majority of the Amazon movies on this list are July 1 drops.
Megamind is a great place to start. Megamind is the ultimate villain, but when he defeats all the heroes, he decides to make his own. The problem is that his hero becomes a villain and now Megamind needs to become a hero to save the planet from his own invention.
Big Fish
Some people love to tell stories. Sometimes, those stories have bigger meanings or have a truth behind them. Will Bloom realizes that the stories his father told may have been true. However, he has to figure it all out by himself after his father’s death.
Big Fish is more than just a search for answers. It’s a story about grief and loss. Tim Burton offers a treasure in a story of a man finding a new way to love his father.
Hitch
Want a comedy that is perfect for the adults to watch? Will Smith and Eva Mendes star in Hitch. It’s an old-school Will Smith comedy, but that’s what makes this so great. There are some timeless elements to it.
Smith plays Hitch, who is the perfect matchmaker…for others. When it comes to his own love life, it’s a disaster. Everything that could go wrong does go wrong!
Mission: Impossible—Ghost Protocol
Not all the Amazon movies are from the July 1 drop. This one dropped on June 30. Mission: Impossible or Tom Cruise fans in general will want to check out Mission: Impossible—Ghost Protocol if you haven’t already. It’s the fourth movie in the entire franchise.
Cruise is back as Ethan Hunt with his team in a race against time. They need to prove who really bombed the Kremlin when the IMF is wrongly accused. Can they clear the reputation of their own organization?
The Forbidden Kingdom
Sometimes you want an old-school martial arts movie. It’s time to turn to The Forbidden Kingdom starring Jackie Chan, Jet Li, and Liu Yifei.
A teenager finds a lost relic that takes him to some sort of mysterious kingdom. Of course, everyone there is after him, so he teams up with warriors to rescue the Monkey King and give the relic back. It’s not one of the best martial arts movies ever made, but it’s fun and a great option for older children.
