What time can you start streaming Guns Akimbo on Prime?

If you’re on the fence about buying Guns Akimbo on DVD and Blu-ray, you’ve likely decided to wait for it to come to streaming. It’s on Amazon Prime Video at the end of the week, but what time can you start streaming it?

As a third-party movie, Amazon will need to be stricter on the release than it is with Amazon Originals. That means we’re looking at a release at midnight on Saturday, June 27 ET at the earliest, instead of a few hours earlier the day before. Those on other time zones could see the release a few hours earlier on Friday, June 26, but there’s no guarantee of this.

You can check at about 9 p.m. PT, but don’t expect it to be there. Some releases are midnight in the local time zone, and this could be one of those cases.

Guns Akimbo is worth the wait

This is a movie that doesn’t take itself too seriously. It’s set in a world of video games and crazy reality shows, so there are a lot of over-the-top moments and graphics. Go in expecting pure carnage and you will certainly enjoy it.

Guns Akimbo stars Daniel Radcliffe as a video game developer who ends up becoming the next contestant in a reality show. It’s a fight to the death, and Radcliffe’s character is the underdog. To make it even harder for him, he has guns literally nailed to his hands, making it almost impossible just to open doors.

It’s not the most universally liked movie. On Rotten Tomatoes it holds a 55% score with the critics and a 40% score with the audience. However, those who go in knowing what to expect go in for the pure fun and that’s all.
