Knives Out is one of five good movies on Amazon to watch this weekend

Trying to get through the full list of movies on Amazon can be overwhelming. That’s why you need a breakdown of the top picks.

We try to offer a range of movies to offer. Now, Amazon isn’t quite as big as Netflix when it comes to releases each month. There’s usually one big drop at the start of the month and a trickle of additions every weekend after that, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to watch.

This weekend boasts a good collection of movies on Amazon. There are also movies from the June 1 drop still to check out.

Fair Game

If you need a political thriller, then you’re going to want to turn your attention to the June 1 drop Fair Game. Starring Naomi Watts, it focuses on a CIA operative investigating weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. When her husband writes a controversial article about the sale of uranium, her cover is blown.

Incident at Loch Ness

Another release from June 1, Incident at Loch Ness is interesting for those who want to know a little more about Scotland and her people. The movie focuses on the collective psyche of the Scottish people, focused on the myth and not the monster in Loch Ness. Something unexpected while on the lake, but does it suggest the monster is real?

Child’s Play

While it’s not the best horror movie of 2019, it’s still worth checking out now that it’s on Amazon Prime Video. There is a lot of good about Child’s Play despite being a horror reboot that we didn’t ask for. It focuses on the dangers of technology, making the movie feel a little more real than was possible with the original version.

Gulabo Sitabo

If you’re looking for an Amazon Original, Gulabo Sitabo is the pick for this weekend. It’s a great movie about two people who could be any more different to each other. And yet, they are so very much alike. A landlord and his tenant just can’t see eye to eye when they just want to look out for themselves.

Knives Out

If there’s only one movie you’re going to watch this weekend, make it Knives Out. Joining the service as an Amazon Exclusive, the movie is a great twist on the whodunit style murder mysteries. It takes all the great elements of Agatha Christie but develops it with a twist you won’t see coming unless you’re watching the clues very carefully.
