Michael Connelly and Nora Roberts enter the most read Amazon books

Between May 31 and June 6, two new books entered the list of most read Amazon books of the week. Meanwhile, The Hunger Games prequel rose again and the Harry Potter books were back on the move.

It’s time to break down the full list. The two new books were both from prolific authors. Nora Roberts and Michael Connelly both landed on the list in reasonable positions. Will they climb or fall next week? Only time will tell, but both has happened to the authors in the past so it’s hard to guess.

More from Amazon Books

Suzanne Collins’s The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes continues to rise on the list. It’s clear that fans wanted more from The Hunger Games universe, and the prequel set during the 10th Hunger Games is certainly proving to be popular. If you thought it was just a way to make you feel sorry for President Snow, you’d be wrong.

The rest of the list was made up of movers already on the list. The Harry Potter books continued to move among themselves, while The Stand dropped to the bottom of the list. As the coronavirus pandemic leaves the news, it’s not surprising that The Stand isn’t as popular anymore. That could change with an expected second wave.

David Baldacci’s Walk the Wire dropped the most spots throughout the week. It lost another six places and could see an exit from the list next week.
