What’s new on Amazon Video this week, June 2?

It’s been a quiet few months for movies. Due to the health pandemic, many studios have pushed their theatrical release dates. That means there’s little to get a Digital release on Amazon Video and other places.

What’s going on this week? Will we get anything coming to Digital this week, June 2?

According to DVD Release Dates, there’s nothing arriving on Amazon Video this week. The next release isn’t going to be until June 9. However, some movies are released last minute, especially when the production budget has been minimal or the studios don’t think they’ll do well.

What can you watch on Amazon Video?

It leaves the question of what can you watch? What is going to be available to entertain you? As the country opens up again, it’s not going to feel as bad. However, not everywhere has started to open just yet.

For those who are interested in renting a digital release, The High Note is available on Amazon. Starring Dakota Johnson and Tracee Ellis Ross, the movie focuses on a high-profile singer who seems to have it all. Her assistant wants to break into music producing and Gracie decides to give Maggie a chance.

Like other Universal Pictures movies, this will eventually be available to purchase on Digital. For now, it’s available to rent only. For those who like inspirational music-based movies, this is certainly going to be worth checking out. Rotten Tomatoes critics give the movie a 71% approval rating with audiences giving it a 78% score.

The good news is that there’s plenty of Amazon Prime Video right now. There’s a big release of movies today to keep you entertained.
