Most sold Amazon books last week: The Hunger Games prequel climbs
The Hunger Games prequel novel climbed well on the list of most sold Amazon books
There was plenty of movement and new arrivals on the list of most sold Amazon books from May 17 to 23. The Hunger Games prequel moved up into a great spot on the list, but the Twilight presales saw the biggest drop. It’s time to break down the full list.
The biggest talking point will be the drop for the Twilight story told from Edward Cullen’s perspective. The Stephanie Meyer novel saw a high debut on the list during the previous week but lost 12 places this week. It’s the highest drop on the list, but this doesn’t mean it will remain there. It’s worth remembering that its debut was just about presales. The book hasn’t been released yet!

Meanwhile, Where the Crawdads Sing climbed to take over Midnight Sun’s spot. This isn’t that surprising. Despite being released almost two years ago, the novel remains one of the most popular out of all Amazon books. It routinely has a place on both the most read and most sold lists.
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins climbed into second place last week. It’s certainly a worthy book for The Hunger Games fans, telling the story of the 10th Hunger Games and giving us a look at President Snow before he became the president of Panem.
There were three new additions on the list. The one in 20th place was The Last Trial by Scott Turow. However, The Hunter by L.J. Shen and False Assurances by Christopher Rosow entered well in fifth and sixth place respectively.
