Midnight Sun by Stephanie Meyer was only released for preorder last week and it immediately took the top spot on the list of most sold Amazon books.

If you thought Twilight fever was over and done with, you’d be wrong. Stephanie Meyer’s Midnight Sun was announced for pre-orders last week and immediately took over the top spot on the list of most sold Amazon books from May 10 to 16. It’s time to look at the full list.

Midnight Sun is the Twilight story told from Edward Cullen’s perspective. The story had previously had some chapters leaked, which led to Stephanie Meyer releasing them on her website. She admitted that she wasn’t sure if she would ever go back to writing it, but it looks like the time is now and fans are excited.

More from Amazon Books

The Meyer novel isn’t the only new book from a popular franchise on the list. The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins, the Hunger Games prequel, gained three places after joining the list the previous week.

Meanwhile, there was plenty of movement elsewhere with other new additions. David Baldacci’s Walk the Wire and The Bad Seed by Jory John lost nine places each. The Girl Who Lived by Christopher Greyson lost seven places, but When We Believed in Mermaids by Barbara O’Neal gained nine places to land in seventh place.

After Midnight Sun, Emma Straub’s novel All Adults Here was the highest new addition, with The 20th Victim by James Patterson & Maxine Paetro was just behind it.
