The Stand by Stephen King made its way on the list of most read Amazon books last week. Here’s the full list from Mar. 15 and 21.

The list of most read Amazon books each week usually includes something connected to current events. Most of the time, it’s linked to TV shows that are coming to streaming services or networks that are based on novels. However, the list from Mar. 15 to 21 includes a novel connected to the current pandemic.

Stephen King’s The Stand has made it to the list of most read Amazon books last week. This isn’t all that surprising for a number of reasons. The first is that people are likening the novel coronavirus to the situation in The Stand. However, King recently tweeted that the situation is nothing like the novel’s storyline and had someone asking if he’d read the book. Hopefully, this was someone trying to be funny!

What is interesting is that this is the first time the book has made it onto the list. How long will it stay on the list? That’s going to be something to find out next Tuesday.

Little Fires Everywhere moved up the list two spots. The novel has been adapted into a TV series, with the first three episodes released on Mar. 17 (a day earlier than planned). Many want to read the book first or read at the same time as watching the show.

Elle Marr’s The Missing Sister is the only book other than The Stand to enter the list for the first week. It entered relatively low, but there is a chance that it will get a boost during the week.
