Ben Affleck is getting tons of praise for his moving performance in the new film The Way Back. Will it ever stream on Amazon Prime Video?

The Way Back is Ben Affleck’s newest film. He plays former basketball all-star that previously lost his wife and is struggling to come to terms with his many demons, including alcoholism. He tries to find his way forward by becoming the coach of a struggling basketball team at his alma mater.

The movie has gotten a lot of fantastic recognition on Rotten Tomatoes, it currently has an 87% approval rating and a Certified Fresh seal. Affleck’s performance, in particular, has been praised as a return to form for the actor, which is fitting for the themes of the film.

So, there are plenty of reasons to want to see The Way Back, but if you know you won’t have a chance to make it to a cinema, you might be wondering if it will eventually be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.

Unfortunately, The Way Back is a Warner Brothers Pictures movie and that means it will probably only stream on HBO, as was the case with previous movies like Annabelle Comes Home, Godzilla: King of Monsters, and Shaft.

The good news is, with Amazon Video Channels, you can sign-up for HBO from your Amazon Prime account and watch everything the cable provider has to offer.

As for when it will show up on HBO, Annabelle Comes Home took about eight months to arrive on the streaming service which means The Way Back will probably show up around November.
