For anyone in need of a romantic movie to watch this Valentine’s Day weekend, you’re in luck. Issa Rae and Lakeith Stanfield lead the cast of The Photograph, a touching new romantic drama film about a famous photographer and the relationship with her estranged daughter.
After Christina Eames passes away suddenly, her daughter, Mae (Rae), struggles to pick up the pieces. Despite not being very close to her mother, she looks through some of her old things and discovers hidden secrets from her mother’s life that deeply impact her and even lead to a new romance.
The film is performing well with critics with both Stanfield and Rae receiving praise for their performances. The Photograph is also directed by a female director, Stella Meghie.
