When will Birds of Prey be on DVD and Blu-ray?
Birds of Prey is being described as the Thor: Ragnarok of the DC movies. Now you need to own it on DVD and Blu-ray. When will that be possible?
You’ve seen Birds of Prey in theaters and now you know you need to add it to your DVD and Blu-ray collection. Or maybe you haven’t seen it in theaters yet, but you know the Blu-ray is a must. When will you be able to own Birds of Prey on DVD and Blu-ray?
While it is a Warner Bros. movie, we also need to remember that this is a DC movie. They get slightly different DVD and Blu-ray releases to the majority of Warner Bros. movies. This is because, despite mostly negative reviews surrounding the past movies, they’ve all made money at the box office.

So, to help predict the date for Birds of Prey on DVD and Blu-ray, we’re going to look at the likes of Justice League, Suicide Squad, and Aquaman. The first two took four months to go from theaters to DVD and Blu-ray, while Aquaman only took the typical three months. It’s possible that Birds of Prey will take the full four months, so we could be looking at the beginning of June before it comes out on home video.
If DC sticks to Aquaman‘s timetable, then we could see it soon. So, I’d be prepared to wait until about June 9, but May 5 isn’t completely impossible.
As for the release on Digital, we’re looking at about a month before the DVD and Blu-ray release. It’s possible that we could be waiting just until the beginning of April, but the beginning of May is more likely.
Birds of Prey is certainly worth adding to your collection. It’s been described as the Thor: Ragnarok of the DC franchise because of how surprisingly great it is. While it’s been considered a financial flop, it’s been a critical hit, with a 79% score and Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.
