Want to see Robert Downey Jr. in Dolittle but don’t want to head to theaters? When and where will you be able to stream Dolittle online?

Dolittle is currently in theaters, but not everyone is going to want to go. Whether it’s timing, cost, or just other movies you want to see first, there’s a chance you’re waiting for it to head to streaming. Now the question is whether you’ll be able to watch Dolittle on Amazon Prime Video.

As a Universal Pictures movie, we can say that it won’t be possible to stream for free with Prime Video. Universal Pictures movies head to HBO to stream first, and that’s likely going to be the case for this one.

With that being said, there is some good news for Prime Video subscribers. You will be able to grab HBO through Amazon Channels on Prime. From there, you’ll get access to all your favorite TV shows and the upcoming movies.

So, when is best to sign up? The list of TV show and movie arrivals tend to come around the middle of each month, so it’s worth keeping an eye on things there, but you’re not going to get Dolittle for at least another six to eight months. We’re probably looking at around August or September 2020.

The movie will have three months in theaters and then head to DVD and Blu-ray. The predicted date for that is sometime in April 2020, which is also when it will be available on Amazon Video to purchase.

This doesn’t mean Dolittle will never be on Amazon Prime Video. There’s a chance that sometime in the future the movie will arrive. It can take years for the licensing agreements to work out right, though.

So far, ratings from the critics haven’t been great, but audiences are mostly enjoying it. This is certainly one for a lazy Sunday when you want something to watch with the kids.
