There isn’t too much being released on DVD and Blu-ray on Jan. 21, but that doesn’t mean it’s a week to skip. Here are three releases to check out.

Unlike previous weeks this month, there isn’t too much heading to DVD and Blu-ray this week. However, that doesn’t mean Jan. 21 is a day to skip. There are some excellent, highly anticipated releases.

Not sure what to buy this week? Here are three top releases to look out for.

Black and Blue

First, it’s time for the cop thriller of 2019, Black and Blue. Starring Naomi Harris, the movie focuses on a female officer who finds out that some colleagues are in some dirty business. She catches them on her body cam and has the intention to blow the whistle. Now she just has to get to a safe place alive, because the cops are after her to stop her.

While the movie wasn’t liked by critics, it was highly praised by audiences. I’m on the audience’s side on this one.

The Addams Family

This is a mixed one, but if you have kids or you just love the franchise as a whole, you’ll want to grab The Addams Family on DVD and Blu-ray this week. It’s a fun addition to the overall story, that sees the Addams family head to a new neighborhood. Naturally, they’re looked down on and treated with suspicion for their weird and dark ways.

It was a 2019 movie that was blasted by the critics. The audience was a little more positive, but still not overly positive. This is one for the fans of the movie, though.

Zombieland: Double Tap

Finally, it’s time for the best zombie movie of the year. After 10 years from the first one, the team returned for another outing. And it certainly did not disappoint. Whether you like usual zombie movies or not, it’s going to be one to watch. If you loved the first movie, you need to get the sequel on DVD and Blu-ray.

While the critics were in the middle ground, audiences loved Zombieland: Double Tap. It all depends on your likes.
