4. Carnival Row Season 2

There were certainly some excellent new shows on Amazon in 2019. It’s not all that surprising that the second season of many are on this list. They are among the most anticipated Amazon Originals of 2020.

Carnival Row was renewed ahead of the first season debut. That meant we could go into the season relaxed, knowing that whatever the cliffhanger ending would be, we’d get a resolution. That’s will hopefully come sometime in 2020. However, there has been a change of showrunner and production was temporarily put on hold. It should affect too much in terms of the schedule, though.

3. THEM: Covenant

There’s a new anthology series coming to Amazon Prime Video. THEM: Covenant will be set in 1953, telling a story of an African American couple who move into a new neighborhood. That neighborhood is made up of all-white families. And with the time period, you just know how they’re going to react!

But it’s not just racism they’ll face. The couple will face supernatural threats, bringing the horror element to the series. While there isn’t a date set, there’s a lot of hope that this will come in time for Halloween 2020. There’s already a second season confirmed.
