6. Utopia

You’ll have heard a little about Utopia, one of the new Amazon Originals coming in 2020. It’s based on a British TV series of the same name, with the story adapted by Gillian Flynn. So far, Sasha Lane, Rainn Wilson, and John Cusack are among the names attached to the project. Filming was close to finishing in October 2019, which does mean that we should see the series sometime this year for definitely.

Utopia follows a group of young adults who are being hunted by some deep state, unknown organization. They soon find a near-mythical graphic novel that has a cult following. And it turns out this graphic novel may be a real story.

5. Troop Zero

It’s time for one of the Amazon Originals movies coming out in 2020. Troop Zero is an underdog story with heart, about a young girl who just wants to make contact with space. It’s not that she necessarily wants to go up there, but that she believes there are beings out there to talk to.

When she finds a way of getting into a NASA program, she puts together a ragtag group of kids to enter a competition. The only number left for them is Zero. And so, they become Troop Zero and form unlikely bonds and friendships that will last a life time.

Troop Zero is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video on Jan. 17, 2020.
