When will The Grudge be on Digital, DVD, and Blu-ray?

It’s an era of revivals and reboots. At least, that’s what it seems and 2020 is no different right now. The Grudge is the latest reboot to hit theaters.
I get it; there’s a high chance that you’re interested in the movie but don’t want to watch it in the theaters. Or you’ve seen it in the theaters and need to add it to your home horror movie collection. You need to know when The Grudge will be on Amazon Video, DVD, and Blu-ray.

There isn’t a specific date out just yet. The movie has only just hit theaters after all! However, with it being a Sony movie, we can take an educated guess looking at the likes of Venom and Escape Room.
Most Sony movies take two-and-a-half to three-and-a-half months to make it to DVD after the theatrical release. I think we’re going to see this take the longer of that window of time, so we’re looking at probably the middle to end of March 2020 for the DVD and Blu-ray edition. If it follows the pattern of Venom, we could get The Grudge on DVD at the end of February 2020.
As for Digital, the releases usually happen a week or two ahead of the DVD release. We’re looking at around the beginning of March probably for The Grudge on Amazon Video.
This latest reboot stars John Cho in a Sam Raimi produced movie. Nicolas Pesce directed the movie, and it also stars Robert Tapert, Takashige Ichise, Lin Shaye, and Betty Gilpin. Like the other movies, we focus on a murder in a home leading to the creation of a Japanese spirit that haunts and kills anyone who steps into that home.
