Christmas Eve is a night that many of you will curl up on the couch with family and watch great movies. Some of you will want something on in the background while you wrap gifts as the kids sleep. Are you ready for some exciting fun with Amazon this year?

We tend to visit family over the Christmas season. Or they come to us. In The Most Wonderful Time of the Year, corporate analyst and single mother, Jen, has to deal with her uncle visiting her. If that wasn’t hard enough, he’s brought a handsome stranger with him.

Just how wonderful is the time of year? Maybe, but it’s also going to be a difficult one. After all, it stars Henry Winkler, so you know his character is going to be hilarious.

Lifetime and Hallmark Christmas movies may all be the same in generalized storytelling, but that doesn’t mean they’re not worth watching. 3. Christmas in Mississippi

Another Christmas movie leaving in January is Christmas in Mississippi, so it’s one that you’ll want to check out this year. It stars another One Tree Hill actress, Jana Kramer. Kramer plays Holly Logan, a photographer who heads back to Gulfport, Mississippi for Christmas.

There’s a story of family, but also of tradition and a town getting back on its feet after a terrible natural disaster. The town wants to put on its holiday light show, but what does that mean for Holly?

2. The Aeronauts

Amazon’s latest release is definitely one to watch. The Aeronauts is a tale of discovery, dreams, and daring moves. In 1862, two people have dreams that are against everyone’s expectations. One wants to fly higher than ever before and another wants to change the way we predict the weather systems.

It’s a story of hope and wonder. This is certainly worth checking out this Christmas Eve.

1. It’s a Wonderful Life

There’s one that I put on year after year. It will always be on my list of movies to watch at Christmas, and I love that it’s on Amazon Prime, free with your membership. It’s a Wonderful Life is a beautiful tale of how one person can make a mark on everyone’s life, and in a great way.

On Christmas Eve, George Bellamy considers suicide. That leads to angel, Clarence, to head to save him. Clarence shows George what life would be like without him in it. He realizes just how much he’s helped friends and family in the past, realizing that he is needed.
