A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood is a sweet story of love and acceptance. When can you watch it at home on DVD or Blu-ray?

There are some people in this world who deserve to be cherished, and that’s certainly the case with Mr. Rogers. His memory is idolized in A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, with a message of love and acceptance. But when can you watch the movie at home on DVD and Blu-ray?

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood is only just out in theaters. That means we definitely don’t have a DVD release date, but it is possible to figure a potential date out. As a Sony movie, we can look at the likes of Venom and Escape Room to get a rough idea.

The majority of Sony movies are released between two-and-a-half and three-and-a-half months from the theatrical release. Venom came on the earlier side to DVD, while it took a longer time for Escape Room to hit. This isn’t all that surprising considering the reaction of the two movies in theaters.

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood will likely be released on the later side considering the critical and audience success. On Rotten Tomatoes, the movie starring Tom Hanks and Matthew Rhys has been rated Certified Fresh, with a critics score of 96% and an audience score of 93%. Sony will want to keep the movie out in theaters for as long as possible.

I’d expect the movie to hit DVD and Blu-ray at the end of February 2020 at the very latest but we could be waiting until the beginning of March. As for the Digital copy, that’s usually released about one to two weeks before the DVD and Blu-ray release.
