When will Frozen II come to DVD and Blu-ray?

Frozen II has hit theaters today after a six-year wait. Here is when you will be able to purchase DVD and Blu-ray copies.

We will see the return of powerful sisters Anna (Kristen Bell) and Elsa (Idina Menzel) this weekend as Frozen II, the sequel to record-breaking movie Frozen, is finally out in theaters. Now if you are taking the kids to see the movie in theaters then you will most likely need the DVD so they can re-watch it again and again, or maybe you would rather watch it from the comforts of your own home.

Update: Frozen II is officially coming to DVD and Blu-ray in February 2020.

Following suit of previous Disney movies this year, like Dumbo and The Lion King, we can expect Frozen II to be released on DVD and Blu-ray in about three months, so we’re looking at February 2020. Frozen II is likely to be released early or mid-February depending on which Tuesday the date falls on, as all DVD releases are on Tuesdays.

Sometimes Disney releases Digital copies one to two weeks before the DVD and Blu-ray versions go on sale. You will be able to purchase the movie digitally through Amazon Video when the time comes. Physical copies will also be available to purchase.

The sequel is highly anticipated following the original movie’s success back in 2013, however, this movie is going to take a different direction. This time we will figure out why Elsa has her powers and how she obtained them from when she was a baby. The original focused on Elsa struggling to withhold her powers her whole life, so seeing how she got them will be very interesting.

Elsa and Anna will venture into the unknown making the experience magical and mystical, they will go far beyond Arendelle to the deep dark seas and enchanted forests. Not forgetting their sidekicks Olaf (Josh Gad), Kristoph (Jonathan Groff), and his companion Sven along for the journey.
