There has been a lot of positivity around Robert De Niro’s latest movie, The Irishman. It’s on Netflix right now, but does that mean it will stay there? Is there any chance that it could ever come to Amazon Prime Video?
If you’re not a Netflix subscriber, I’m sorry to say there’s some bad news. This is the only way to watch The Irishman. It’s a Netflix Original, and that certainly isn’t going to change. That means the show is going to remain on Netflix and Netflix only. It’s also unlikely to head to DVD and Blu-ray.

Well, that is unless something happens between Netflix and Amazon. The only way the movie will head to Amazon Prime Video is if the two companies decide to merge or decide to start working together. It could also happen if Netflix decides to allow some of its exclusive offerings to be available on other streaming services. However, that is unlikely to happen for the foreseeable future.
The Irishman may be something to consider getting Netflix for just to watch the once. Set in the 1950s, Frank Sheeran finds himself involved in the Pennsylvanian crime family business. As he climbs up to the rank of top hitman, he starts working for JImmy Hoffa, a man tied to organized crime.
Ratings for the movie have been excellent, with The Irishman Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with a 97% score from the critics. The audiences are also impressed, giving it a 94% score.
