By Mads Lennon
Watch the tender coming-of-age story that is The Goldfinch on Blu-ray, DVD, and digital this December. Find out the exact date you can own it!
The Goldfinch is the official film adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name. The film stars Ansel Elgort, Nicole Kidman, Oakes Fegley, Aneurin Barnard, Sarah Paulson, Jeffrey Wright, Luke Wilson, and Finn Wolfhard.
Elgort stars as Theo Decker, a young boy who saw his mother die in a catastrophic bombing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art when he was only 13-years-old. From the wreckage, Theo kept a small painting of a Goldfinch. It accompanies him on his strange journey into adulthood and beyond.
If you’re excited to own the movie, I recommend you pre-order it now on Amazon. The DVD is priced at $28.98 and the Blu-ray at $35.99 (the Blu-ray also comes with the DVD and a digital version). Odds are, those prices will fluctuate between now and then but you’ll be locked into the lowest price if you pre-order now.
