When is Motherless Brooklyn on Amazon Video, DVD, and Blu-ray?

Motherless Brooklyn is out in theaters nationwide tomorrow. When can you watch it on DVD and Blu-ray? Here are the details.

Edward Norton isn’t just in the lead actor seat but in the director’s chair in his latest movie. Motherless Brooklyn is out in theaters nationwide tomorrow, but you’re likely looking to watch it on DVD and Blu-ray at home. When will that be possible?

Since Motherless Brooklyn is a Warner Bros. Pictures movie, we can look at previous releases to find out how long it took them to come to DVD and Blu-ray. We’re looking at Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald and Shazam! for this.

Both movies took three to four months to come to DVD and Blu-ray. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald took the full four months, and that was likely due to the high expectations in the theaters. Shazam! only took three months, likely due to the competition from the likes of Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame at the time.

Motherless Brooklyn is likely to take the three months, so we should see it on DVD and Blu-ray sometime around the start of February 2020. If it does take the full four months, then we could look at March 2020 for the release.

What about the Amazon Video version? This usually comes out one or two weeks before, so we’re looking at some time from the middle of January to the end of February.

Motherless Brooklyn currently has mixed reviews from critics, with the Rotten Tomatoes score currently sitting at 65%. It’s a relatively long movie, which could be viewed as too slow-paced for some. It’s going to depend on what you prefer to get from your movies.
