Most sold Amazon books last week: Delia Owens moves back up
Delia Owens’ Where the Crawdads Sing moves back into the top spot on the list of most sold Amazon books. Here’s the list from Oct. 13 to 19.
It’s a new week and that means the list of most sold Amazon books for the week has changed. After a couple of weeks off the top spot, Delia Owens’ Where the Crawdads Sing moves back into the top spot. Meanwhile, one of the Margaret Atwood novels gets a big jump. Here’s a look at the full list from Oct. 13 to 19.
The Atwood novel is The Handmaid’s Tale. The first one, first published in 1985, moved seven places to make it into second place. That did mean The Testaments dropped again, but only by one place.

Last week’s #1 book, The Water Dancer, sadly saw a fairly large drop on the list. Ta-Nehisi Coates’ book dropped five places into sixth place on the list. New novel The 19th Christmas by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro entering the list in fifth place didn’t help.
However, The Water Dancer‘s drop wasn’t the largest on the list. Bloody Genius by John Sandford saw the largest drop, losing eight places after entering in third place last week.
In fact, The Handmaid’s Tale wasn’t the largest climb! When We Believed in Mermaids jumped up by eight places just narrowly missing out on the Top 10 spot on the most sold Amazon books list. There’s a chance that will move even higher next week after getting its recent surge.
Six new Amazon books made it to the list, including Elin Hilderbrand’s new novel What Happens in Paradise, the follow-up to her novel Winter in Paradise.
