When is Joker out on Amazon Video, DVD, and Blu-ray?
Joker is the latest DC movie to make it to theaters. There are high chances you want to add it to your current collection. Here’s when Joker will be on DVD.
When is Joker on Amazon Video, DVD, and Blu-ray? That’s the question you’re likely asking right now. Whether you’ve gone to the theaters or not, you know you want to add the Joaquin Phoenix movie to your DC collection.
There’s some great news with this movie being a Warner Bros. production. While we can’t give you an exact date right now, it’s easy to project the date. Joker will likely take about three months to come to DVD and Blu-ray judging by previous releases, such as Shazam! That means we’re looking at the beginning of January 2020, just in time for that New Year slog where you need good movies on DVD.

As for Amazon Video, the movie will likely be available to buy digitally about two weeks before the DVD and Blu-ray release, also like Shazam! Depending on whether you like the physical copy or not, you may want to hold off on buying the digital copy. The Blu-ray is usually released as a combo pack, giving you the digital and Blu-ray copies for the price of one.
Joker stars Phoenix as the titular character, although he’s known as Arthur Fleck. Forever alone in a crowded place, Fleck has two masks, the one he paints on and the one he uses to protect himself. He’s often disregarded and bullied by Gotham City’s people, and that leads to a descent into madness.
This is the Joker origin story that you’ve been looking for. There’s a beautiful twist at the end, making it worth watching far more than once.
Audiences are more favorable about the DC movie than critics (not surprising), with a 90% approval score vs. a 68% approval score on Rotten Tomatoes.
