The Harry Potter books were on the move in the list of most read Amazon books between Sept. 1 and 7. Here’s a complete look at the list.
While Where the Crawdads Sing remained on the top spot, some of the Harry Potter books were on the move. Meanwhile, The Goldfinch and others entered the list for the first time. Here’s a complete look at the Top 20 most read Amazon books from the week.
The most notable movements are the Harry Potter books. Half-Blood Prince, Prisoner of Azkaban, and Chamber of Secrets all moved down one to two spots, hanging on to the Top 10 but only just. They moved thanks to Gregg Olsen’s Lying Next to Me jump up a space and Louise Penny’s A Better Man entering the list for the first week.

Meanwhile, Summer of ‘69 by Elin Hilderbrand dropped five spots and The New Girl by Daniel Silva dropped six spots, seeing the biggest movements of the whole week. The Silent Patient continues to perform well, moving three spots up the list into the Top 15.
The Goldfinch was the new arrival. By Donna Tartt, the book made it to the most sold Amazon books during last week. It’s not surprising it’s the most read, as the movie is about to be released.
When it comes to exits from the list, the two sequels to A Game of Thrones are now off the list. The Handmaid’s Tale is back on the list, which could certainly be linked to the arrival of the long-awaited sequel The Testaments later this week.
