By Mads Lennon
If you need more of a shark fix then you might be wondering if the new film, 47 Meters Down: Uncaged will be on Prime Video. We’ve got an answer for you!
You’re here because you want to know if the sequel film to 47 Meters Down is going to wind up streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The film hit theaters this past weekend and has debuted to mixed reviews so it’s understandable why you might want to save money to watch the film from the comfort of your own home.
Sadly, it doesn’t look like 47 Meters Down: Uncaged is going to make it to Amazon Prime Video. The movie is from Entertainment Studios Motion Pictures and their previous films, Chappaquiddick, The Hurricane Heist, and Hostiles, have all gone to Netflix. However, you will still be able to rent or purchase the shark attack film through Amazon Video in a matter of months.

The studio will have a contract of some kind with Netflix. That could potentially change in the future but for now, it is unlikely you’ll see the movie on Prime.
If you enjoyed the first 47 Meters Down, odds are you’ll like the second one. The cast size has increased to follow the story of four teenage girls going on the diving trip of a lifetime as they aim to explore the ruins of a sunken city. The only problem is, the great white sharks roaming the underwater labyrinth aren’t fond of visitors and the girls quickly discover they may become shark bait if they can’t escape in time.
The film sees the return of the first movie’s director, Johannes Roberts and stars Sophie Nelisse, Corinne Foxx, Brianne Tju, Sistine Stallone, Davis Santos, Khylin Rhambo, Brec Bassinger, and John Corbett.
So far, the movie is performing about as well as the first film did with critics and audiences alike. Make of that what you will!
