Many people are heading to the theaters this week to see the newly released Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. If you want a fun horror movie, this is for you. But not everyone wants to head to the theaters when the movies eventually come to streaming services.

My initial instinct is that it will. Lionsgate is distributing the movie, as well as CBS Films, and the 2019 Lionsgate movies are heading to Amazon Prime Video. That should mean you’ll be able to stream Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark sometime next year free with your Amazon Prime membership.

However, the CBS Films part makes me question whether it will actually head to CBS All Access. This is CBS’ own streaming service, and a streaming service it’s going to want to see get a boost. There’s a chance that instead of being exclusive on one streaming service or another, it will head to both.

If it only heads to CBS All Access, there’s some good news as a Prime member. You can access CBS All Access through Amazon Channels, whether you get the ad-light or the ad-free option.

For those who don’t want to want for this fun horror to come to streaming services, I highly recommend getting the DVD or Blu-ray. Or you can purchase on Amazon Video. We’ve got you covered with the release date there.
