A group of teenagers thinks they hit the jackpot when they meet a lonely woman who agrees to buy them alcohol and give them a place to party. They all bond quickly, enough that she even lets them call her Ma. But then things begin to take a dark turn as Ma grows increasingly obsessed with the youngsters.

Ma is a terrifically fun thriller starring Octavia Spencer at her best. Tate Taylor directs the film. You’ll recognize the name as the bright mind behind the acclaimed film, The Help, which also starred Spencer.

If you loved Ma, then you’ll be happy to know you can pre-order the movie right now on Amazon! The official release date for both the DVD and Blu-Ray is Sept. 3, 2019.

Right now the DVD costs $18.70, and the Blu-Ray is $23.78. If you pre-order, you can lock in the cost, even if it changes, with the Prime Price Guarantee. Fans will want to buy the film if possible because it’s coming with tons of juicy extra features like an alternate ending, deleted scenes, two featurettes about creating the character of Sue Ann and the wild parties, plus a digital copy of the film.

Speaking of digital copies, this movie doesn’t have a release date for when it will come out on Amazon Video, but it is estimated to be sometime during the second half of August.

In addition to Octavia Spencer, Ma also stars Juliette Lewis, Diana Silvers, Corey Fogelmanis, and Luke Evans. It is a Blumhouse Productions film.
