Hellboy coming to DVD and Blu-Ray in July 2019

It has been a few months since the new adaptation of Hellboy took to the big screen and now you can finally purchase on DVD, Blu-Ray, and 4K UHD this July.

Back in April this year director Neil Marshall unleashed his adaptation on Hellboy. There has been a good deal of new takes in the past but what makes this one special is its R rating. So if you are a fan of gruesome movies with a fair share of comedic violence than you should give it a try.

You don’t have to wait long because Hellboy is coming to Digital on July 9. If you don’t mind waiting a little longer you can purchase the 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on July 23!

When released in theatres in April, Hellboy received a fair amount of highly negative reviews from film critics but mixed reviews from audiences. It has a 17% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes but a 59% audience score. When remaking a beloved movie this is to be expected, especially one as well known as Hellboy. It is definitely worth trying it out especially if you enjoy darker depictions of the superhero genre.

David Harbour takes on the role as Hellboy himself, the half-demon superhero who gets called to the English countryside to battle a trio of rioting giants. He then finds himself having to confront an ancient sorceress played by Milla Jovovich who actually wants to destroy London and the rest of the world.

Based on the Dark Horse comics you can expect a lot of blood, dark humor and obviously fights from our favorite anti-hero demon. Hellboy stars Ian McShane, Sasha Lane, Daniel Dae Kim, and Thomas Haden Church.
