The summer months stretch long and languorous ahead. If it’s too hot to go outside, relax indoors with one of these awesome summer movies on Prime Video.

Sometimes it’s just too hot to go outside. I love spending my days off relaxing at the beach as much as the next person but when the humidity strikes I’d rather be indoors under the A/C with a selection of movies at my fingertips.

But what if you still want that summer feeling, even while cooped up indoors? Amazon Prime Video has tons of flicks available, but here are 10 movies perfect for the summer months.

10. Baywatch (2017)

What better way to kick off the summer than by a movie that takes place almost explicitly at the beach? As it sounds, Baywatch is based on the classic television series of the same name.

The movie stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as Mitch Buchannon, a man who takes his lifeguarding super seriously.

When a wave of crime hits his beach he recruits a team of fellow lifeguards to stop the cunning businesswoman behind it all before she ruins the sanctity of catching a good wave. Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, and Priyanka Chopra join The Rock in this hilarious film.

9. Summer ’03 (2018)

This is a little flick that mostly went unnoticed but that doesn’t mean it isn’t worth your time. If you like teen comedies and coming-of-age stories then you’ll find Summer of ’03 hilarious and super relatable (sometimes uncomfortably so).

Perhaps it doesn’t have the most remarkable script but it’s a nice way to spend an afternoon. And if the only time you’ve seen Joey King was in her break out role as Gypsy Blanchard in the Hulu series, The Act, then you’ll be surprised by the impressive range she has as an actress.
