Cinderella: Anniversary Edition coming to DVD and Blu-Ray in June 2019

In honor of its 70th anniversary, Cinderella will become part of the Walt Disney Signature Collection, and a special edition will be released in June 2019.
The classic animated-musical Disney film, Cinderella, will reach its 70th anniversary this year if you can believe it! The movie is one of the Disney originals, and in honor of this milestone, it will be indoctrinated into the Walt Disney Signature Collection.
As part of the celebration, Disney is releasing a special edition of Cinderella that will be available to purchase digitally in HD through MoviesAnywhere and on DVD and Blu-Ray. The release date of the digital version is June 18, 2019, and the DVD and Blu-Ray release will follow on June 25, 2019.

In addition to the special features from the original Cinderella Blu-Ray release, this new special edition will feature a couple of all-new extras. The first is hosted by Disney Channel’s Sydney to the Max stars, Ruth Righi and Ava Kolker. Righi and Kolker will be unveiling trivia and fun facts about the history of Cinderella and what went into bringing this timeless classic to life.
Accompanying this feature is another titled In Walt’s Words: Enhanced Edition, this is a version of the film you can watch that is accompanied by original storyboards, film transcripts, sketches, and archival photos to immerse you in the world of Cinderella further while you watch along!
Beyond these new featurettes, the anniversary edition will still include hours of extra footage in the form of animation celebration, art from the legendary Mary Blair, and even an original recording of the film’s title song plus much more.
The addition follows The Little Mermaid 30th anniversary edition earlier this year.
