When is Poms coming to Amazon Video, Blu-Ray, and DVD?

From the team that brought us Book Club, STX Entertainment will release the heartwarming comedy, Poms this weekend. When can you buy it?

Diane Keaton is back with another tender comedy about a group of women in a retirement home who form a cheerleading team. Poms is produced by the same team who made Book Club, last year’s film starring Diane Keaton with a similar tone.

Considering Book Club’s financial success at the box office, it’s likely Poms will also be a smash. Diane Keaton is basically a national treasure at this point so it’s not surprising. The rest of the cast is just as stellar as Keaton is with Pam Grier, Jacki Weaver, Rhea Perlman, Alisha Boe, and Celia Weston all joining her.

Poms strikes me as the type of movie you’ll want to buy ASAP and keep around to watch on nights when you need a pick-me-up, so when will it be available to take home?

STX Entertainment is a little more difficult to predict in terms of DVD release dates. Their film Peppermint came out just two months after its theatrical debut but then The Upside is due for release in two weeks – five months after it premiered in cinemas.

It appears most of their movies fall around the three-four month range but this estimation is not exact. However, with that in mind, I would predict Poms will be available to take home some time between late-August and late-September.

As for the Amazon Video release, again it can vary. Generally, STX Entertainment puts out movies anywhere from one to three weeks before the DVD release. Based on that, I would estimate an early-mid August release for Poms, but it could potentially be as late as September.
