Captive State is on DVD and Blu-ray in June 2019

If you’re looking for an alien invasion, dystopian future movie, Captive State is the March theatrical release for you. Captive State is on DVD and Blu-ray in June 2019.

Captive State was released in the theaters in March, bringing an alien invasion story with a dystopian future. Want to catch it at home? It’s coming to Amazon Video, DVD, and Blu-ray soon.

There isn’t an Amazon Video release just yet. This is often two weeks or so before the DVD release date, so we could be looking at the end of May or the start of June.

While it’s certainly not a financial success, this is a movie with mixed reviews. Audiences and critics are sitting between 41% and 46% in favor of the movie on Rotten Tomatoes, with many complaints about the movie being confusing. However, this is just one of those movies you need to pay attention to all the way through and that’s not a bad thing! It’s not afraid to make you think.

Set in Chicago, the city is very different to what you’re used to seeing right now. For the last 10 years, it’s been Ground Zero after being occupied by aliens. While some residents want to work with the aliens, others certainly don’t. Yet, everyone is willing to do what it takes to do what they think is best for the city.

The question to answer is whether Chicago is better off with the aliens in charge or if it should return to its original state. Which side will you sit on?
