You’ll need to wait a while for the horror to be available at home. The Curse of La Llorona will likely be on DVD and Blu-ray within about three months from the theatrical release date, so we’re looking at the middle to the end of July 2019. That isn’t too far away.

If you want the Amazon Video copy, you’ll get it a little sooner in the majority of cases. Most Amazon Video releases are a couple of weeks before the DVD and Blu-ray. However, this is Warner Bros. so we could be looking about a week before. Either way, it’s still going to be around July 2019.

The Curse of La Llorona has received mixed reviews from critics. The flaw is in the predictability. It’s like most other horror movies of this kind, especially if you’ve seen The Woman in Black or The Conjuring. However, if you don’t mind the predictability and want to watch for the graphics and the cinematography, then this is going to be a movie that you’ll like.

Audiences like it more than critics. On Rotten Tomatoes, 23% of critics like it compared to 59% of audiences.
