When is How to Train Your Dragon 3 on DVD and Blu-ray?
How to Train Your Dragon 3 has been out in theaters for a week now. When will fans get the chance to watch it at home? When will How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World be on DVD and Blu-ray?
For the last week, children have taken their parents to see How to Train Your Dragon 3. It’s the epic conclusion to the tale of Hiccup and Toothless, as they delve into the hidden world of dragons. Now that many have had the chance to see the movie in the theaters, it’s time to watch it at home. So, when will How to Train Your Dragon 3 be on DVD and Blu-ray?
It’s not going to happen for a while. Movies will spend a few weeks in the theaters, especially the blockbusters of How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World size. This was one of the highly anticipated movies of this year, especially with it being a conclusion to the trilogy. Movies of this size typically wait at least three months before being released on DVD and Blu-ray.

Since the movie was released on Feb. 23, we’re looking at the end of May at the earliest for the movie to be released at home. A couple of weeks or so before that (so possibly the middle of May), we’ll likely get the Digital release.
The movie will likely come on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K. Most likely, the 4K will have a Blu-ray and Digital copy and the Blu-ray will have a DVD and Digital copy, so you can really make the most out of your money for them. There will usually be featurettes and deleted scenes, although as it’s animated, we may get a making of the movie instead.
