1. A Christmas Carol in Color

You’ve heard of the story A Christmas Carol. You’ve likely seen plenty of adaptations of the novel over the years. One of my personal favorites is definitely The Muppets version. However, there is something extra special about this one and it’s available with your Prime membership.

Made in 1935, it’s one of the original movies adapted from the novel. Starring Seymour Hicks, Donald Calthrop, and Robert Cochran, it’s a movie that will always stand the test of time, as long as you’re willing to accept the filming quality is going to be lower. After all, they didn’t have the tech back then!

Hicks is Scrooge, who wants nothing to do with Christmas. When he’s visited on Christmas Eve by four ghosts (don’t forget the ghost of his dead friend), he’s shown the Christmases of the past, present, and future. Soon, he learns that his awful ways have led to him having no friends or family, nobody to mourn his passing.

Will he be able to change? Does he want things to change? You likely already know the story but that doesn’t mean this isn’t a movie to watch to see it all play out.

And it’s perfect for the whole family. Put it on at the end of the day and remind your children how important it is to be kind to one another.
